Day 304 August
3, 2018
I slept quite well for I have become accustomed to vehicles
driving by and other sounds while out on the road. The forecast for the day called for rain all
day long so we drove around until we found somewhere to fill up our propane
tank. Since hiking was out of the
question we tried our luck on finding a camping spot. Thankfully, we were lucky and found a free
spot in the Green Mountains National Forest at the Austin Brook Trail
Campground near Warren, VT. It took awhile
to get into the spot and leveled out, but it was completely worth it.
The campsite was near a stream and the temperature was
perfect. I cleaned up some and we played
skip-bo before I got started on our dinner.
Dinner consisted of one of my new favorite meals: honey siracha glazed
meatballs. We ate that at the picnic
table near the fire while playing skip-bo.
Once it became too dark out we moved inside to go to bed while an owl
called out nearby.
